What is in the Maryland file

Each row is one docket from the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC): the applicant, the project, the county, capital cost where stated, the letter of intent and filing dates, interested parties, the staff or Reviewer's recommendation, the Commission's decision with its conditions, and links to every document MHCC posted. Recent filings are mostly substance abuse, nursing home beds, outpatient surgery, psychiatric beds, and the busiest counties are Prince George's, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel.

Coverage, stated plainly

The file covers every docket on MHCC's current index, which starts in 2021 (plus one 2018 matter still listed). MHCC moved the 2016 to 2020 filings into an archive that is closed to automated download, and a Public Information Act request for those years and for MHCC's letter of intent log went in on October 28, 2026. Those rows are added when MHCC answers.

  • MHCC denied no request on the merits in this window. Matters ended in approval, withdrawal, dismissal or are still pending, and the file says which.
  • Home health and substance use exemption requests are included alongside full CON applications, marked by type.
  • Where MHCC's index and its documents disagree (a status, a docket number, a date), the row keeps both and names each source.
