Questions the file answers

Today each of these means opening several PDFs on the VDH site, because notices, staff reports and decisions are posted separately and decisions are filed by certificate number.

  • What has a competitor filed in my planning district?Filter by applicant or parent system and PD.
  • Which requests are competing in the current batch cycle? Each row lists the requests reviewed with it.
  • Who is about to file in my market? The pipeline tab lists every letter of intent with no notice yet.
  • How often does the Commissioner follow staff? When staff recommended denial, the Commissioner approved about 7 in 10 of those requests anyway.
  • What did comparable projects cost?Sort ten years of CT, MRI or cath requests by capital cost.
  • What is still waiting on a decision?Every pending request is listed, as of October 27, 2026.
  • Where do the state's documents conflict? The row keeps both values and names the document behind each.

Pricing and terms

Built from the state's own documents

Every row comes from public notices, DCOPN staff reports and Commissioner case decisions published by the Virginia Department of Health, and most rows link back to them; the rest come from VDH's own request log. I check each row against its sources before delivery.

Disagreements on cost, district, applicant or request number go in the discrepancies column, with the document behind each value.

Three documents, posted separately and often under different numbers, become one row. A conflict between them is recorded in that row.
